Where is your office?
A New Path Counseling's office is located in the heart of Downtown Avalon Park at the Shoppes At Avalon. The location at 3662 Avalon Park E. Blvd Suite 2022 Orlando, Fl 32828. There is a breezeway between Pizza Hut and Trustco Bank where you can find the elevator to take to the second floor. Once you get to the second floor, you will find the waiting area right off the elevator. Please wait in the waiting area until the therapist is available to escort you to the office.
What are your office hours?
Our office is open Monday through Friday 9am-6pm. However, counseling appointments are available Monday and Wednesday, 1pm to 8pm at this time. Our office is closed on the weekend and afterhours. Please contact the therapist if you concerns about appointment availability.
How do I set up an appointment?
Please call 407-476-5994 for a free five to seven minute phone consultation. We can discuss your needs, to see if A New Path Counseling is the best fit for you and then schedule an appointment. If you reach the voicemail, please leave a message with your name, phone number and available time to contact. The counselor will return your phone call within 24 business hours.
How long does a therapy session last?
Most sessions will last a clinical hour (about 50 minutes). However, EMDR and family sessions may be longer to the counselor’s discretion on a case by case basis.
What happens if I miss an appointment?
In consideration of the counselor and other clients, we ask that you give 24 business-hour cancellation notice. For example, if your session is 11am on Monday, we ask that you notify the counselor by 11am on Friday. Clients are responsible for full payment of missed appointments or late cancellations/rescheduling.
What forms of payment are accepted?
A New Path Counseling accepts cash, check and major credit cards. We also accept FSA (Flex Spending Account) and HSA (Health Spending Account) debit cards. It is required to leave a credit card on file to secure an appointments and to bill for missed sessions. This card may also be used for ongoing payment of sessions, if desired. This information is kept in a confidential location and is only used for billing purposes.
Does A New Path Counseling accept insurance?
A New Path Counseling works with insurance companies as an out-of-network provider. Since out-of-network benefits vary based on policy, it is encouraged that clients contact their insurance carrier to obtain information about utilizing out-of-network benefits and reimbursement percentage. We can provide a superbill for you to file with your insurance company for out-of-network benefits.
What do I do if I have a mental health emergency?
Unfortunately, we do not provide crisis care. If you are in need of assistance, please call 911.
